Along the Old Croton Aqueduct

The Old Croton Aqueduct: A State Park Through Tarrytown

The Old Croton Aqueduct Trail is a 26.2-mile long route along the buried tunnel that, for more than 165 years, carried drinking water to the residents of New York City.  Now, visitors and Rivertown residents alike enjoy riding or walking through the woods and fields of this enchanting trail.

Traversing backyards, fields, parks, and other landscapes, the OCA joins the Rivertowns like beads on a necklace, with Tarrytown the pendant in the middle.  You can hop on the trail at several locations in Tarrytown, and head north or south.
